Garebeg

Garebeg held three times in a calendar year / Javanese calendar which is on Mulud twelve months (3 months), the date one month of Sawal (10th month) and the tenth month of the Great (month 12). In the days that the Sultan is pleased to issue a charity to the people as an expression of gratitude to God for the prosperity of the kingdom. This charity, which is called the Hajad Dalem, a pareden / mountains consisting of Pareden Kakung, Pareden Estri, Pareden Pawohan, Pareden Gepak, and Pareden Dharat, and Pareden Kutug / 8 Bromo is only issued once a year at Dal Garebeg Mulud year.


Kakung mountains beheaded with a cone-shaped upper edge slightly rounded. Most of the mountains are composed of vegetable green beans coupled with red chili, duck eggs, and some other dry food supplies. Mountains estri flower shaped like a basket full of flowers. Pawohan mountains [74] consists of fresh fruits are placed in baskets of coconut leaves (Janur) are colored yellow. These mountains are also placed in jodhang and covered with blue cloth. At Garebeg Sawal Sultan menyedekahkan 1-2 pareden Kakung fruit. If the two pieces so that a Gedhe contested in the mosque and the rest given to the relatives of a Paku Alaman Puro . In the Great Sultan issued pareden Garebeg Kakung, estri, pawohan, gepak, and dharat which amounted to one of each fruit.
