Tumplak Wajik



Tumplak Wajik ceremony is a ritual of making wajik (typical food made of glutinous rice with coconut sugar) to start making pareden used in Garebeg. This ceremony is only done to make pareden estri on Garebeg Mulud and Large. In a ceremony attended by the princes palace is equipped with the offerings. In addition to the ceremony which was held two days before Garebeg also accompanied by a musical ensemble of the mortar-pestle (rice pestle), kenthongan, and other wooden musical instruments. After the ceremony continued with the creation pareden.
